South African President congratulates Moussemiani for taking on the training of Al-Ahly of Egypt

Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, congratulated his compatriot Pitso Musimane after his appointment as technical director of the first football team of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club.

In an official statement issued today by the Presidency of the Republic in South Africa and published by Al-Ahly of Egypt on its website, Cyril Ramaphosa said: "We will miss Pitso Musimane as a force in football in South Africa, but his appointment by the leading club in our continent strengthens the bonds of friendship between our two countries."

He added, "It is also a recognition of the talent and capabilities that exist within our continent. I wish Pizzo and his team good luck, as they raise our flag and the flag of African football with a club all Africans proud of its success."

The Egyptian Al-Ahly management decided to contract with Pitso Musimane of South Africa to train the team for two seasons.
