“President Cyril Ramaphosa will convene the National Council to Fight Coronavirus on Sunday 28 November 2021,” the statement on the website of the head of state said.
It is noted that an assessment will be made of the development of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as scientific data on the new strain.
Earlier, the German biotechnology company BioNTech announced that its specialists are studying a new strain of coronavirus found in South Africa.
