A company engaged in the robot business in the SoftBank Group has announced that it will transfer most of the shares of the development company of "Pepper" to a German company.

We will cooperate in expanding sales channels around the world.

The SoftBank Robotics Group, which handles the robot business in the SoftBank Group, is developing "Pepper" at a subsidiary in France.

According to the company's announcement, it has agreed to transfer most of the shares of this subsidiary to Germany's United Robotics Group, which also develops robots.

Softbank will also acquire shares in this German company.

These transactions are expected to be completed by the end of June.

As a result, the development company of "Pepper" will no longer be a subsidiary of the SoftBank Group, but it will continue to sell and provide services in Japan and elsewhere.

Softbank Robotics commented, "With this transfer, we would like to cooperate with German companies in the global marketing of various robots and aim for further business expansion."
