SVT's reporter stopped for an hour in central Jönköping, and for the same length of time at the E4 through the city, to see how common it is with drivers fiddling with their mobile phones.

It is forbidden to hold the phone
Before the change in the law in 2018, it was only illegal to hold the mobile phone while driving if it affected driving in a dangerous way.
But just over two and a half years ago, the legal text was sharpened.
It is now forbidden to hold the phone or other communication equipment at all - for example a GPS - while driving.
But when SVT examines the habits of road users, it turns out that many break the mobile phone law.
