Charging your smartphone in twenty minutes could be possible by 2021. Four brands are currently working on a technology using fast charging at 100 watts, which would allow certain devices to be charged 100% in record time, reports the media Android Authority . For now, it allows a full charge of the battery in forty-five minutes, thanks to a power of 50 W.

If no manufacturer name has filtered concerning the companies that undertake the implementation of this new technology, the Chinese models Xiaomi Black Shark, Nubia Red Magic and Vivo Iqoo would however be concerned. The Taiwanese Asus could also be in the race.

Already very effective refills

Two of these manufacturers have already shown their ambitions in the field of fast charging. In mid-June, we learned that Oppo, thanks to SuperVOOC 3.0, would offer in 2021 to fully recharge a battery in just fifteen minutes, specifies Phonandroid . 80W charging would also be available on Nubia's Red Magic 5G, images of which were recently filtered at the start of the year.

In all cases, the new Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 875, will be an opportunity to highlight fast charging at 100 W according to the source relayed by Android Authority . It remains to dominate this technology, which for the moment, would generate higher capacity losses for the battery. This would be the main reason for Xiaomi's current shyness in this market.
