According to the group's financial results from January to September announced by Shiseido on the 10th, sales decreased by 22% compared to the same period last year to 653.6 billion yen, and the final profit and loss was 72.4 billion yen. It turned from a surplus to a deficit of 13.6 billion yen.



The main factors were the decline in cosmetics sales due to refraining from going out, store closures, and a significant decrease in foreign tourists.



In addition, we have revised our earnings forecast for the past year downward and revised the final deficit forecast from 22 billion yen to 30 billion yen.

At the press conference, President Masahiko Uotani said, "In Japan and Europe and the United States, the infection is on the rise again, and the situation is unpredictable. I would like to continue taking necessary actions such as utilizing digital technology." He showed his intention to focus on mail order.
