The image is still widely shared on social networks: a young man is dressed like a woman in a dress and a red veil.

This student was arrested in Diourbel last Saturday July 31 because he had disguised himself to replace his girlfriend during the baccalaureate exams.

According to several Senegalese media, the student would have explained to the investigators having "

acted out of love

 " because his girlfriend "

had serious difficulties in English

 ".

The bogus candidate was caught in the act of fraud during an exam by a supervisor.

He was first taken into custody, as well as his companion before spending Monday, August 2 in front of the Diourbel prosecutor who placed them under arrest warrant, explains Malick Ciré Sy, local representative of the Raddho (African meeting for defense of human rights).

The activist nevertheless denounces an attack on the dignity and presumption of innocence of the student following the disclosure of his photo on social networks.

The young man, accused of fraud and identity theft, and his partner, accused of complicity in fraud could be tried from Thursday, August 5 in the court of Diourbel.
