Edouard Philippe announced Friday in Matignon that the second round of municipal elections, initially scheduled for March 22 and postponed due to the confinement, would be held on the last Sunday of June. A date that may still change depending on the evolution of the health situation, said the Prime Minister. "I think there will be a tie between the candidates", with a difference between the outgoing mayors and the other candidates, said Senator LREM, saying that the outgoing mayors were able to campaign "with the masks and the tests ", while the others were unable to go to the field.
