The older man had been missing since Wednesday, March 9, when he was last seen in Hoverberg near Svenstavik.
In the past week, the police, sea rescue and Missing people have been involved in the search for the man.
Among other things, search operations were carried out with about 30 people last weekend.
On Sunday, police announced that the man was found dead in the immediate area on Saturday by the public who sounded the alarm.
There is no suspicion of crime.
Relatives are notified.
