Saudi Arabia suspends work on Umrah-related visas
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the cancellation of the “Umrah Host” visa, and according to the newspaper “Okaz”, it is no longer being implemented and there is no specific time for its activation, and if it is activated, it will be announced on the various platforms of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah at the time.
The newspaper also reported that the “Absher” platform for electronic services also confirmed that it is not possible to issue a “host’s Umrah visa” through the platform.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah identified, last Thursday, only two categories of non-Saudis, who are allowed to perform the rituals of Hajj this year.
According to the ministry, the Hajj rituals can only be performed for those who hold a visa specifically for this or who reside with regular residence inside Saudi Arabia, which means that holders of a visitor visa or a business visa cannot apply for a permit to perform the Hajj rituals this year.
