“On June 10, the day of the annular solar eclipse, which will be seen on the territory of Russia for the first time in 50 years, the Moscow Planetarium invites everyone to observe the partial phase of the eclipse,” the service said.

It is noted that the last annular solar eclipse in Russia was observed 50 years ago, on May 20, 1966. 

The subsequent annular phases of the eclipse can be seen only on June 21, 2039 and June 11, 2048 - in the vicinity of Moscow.

Earlier, astronomer Maria Borukha spoke about the annular solar eclipse, which is expected on June 10.

Tatyana Shilova, an ophthalmologist and State Duma expert on health protection, recalled eye protection when observing a solar eclipse.
