Russian Defense Ministry: banned French mines found near Artyomovsk in the DPR

This was stated in the Russian Defense Ministry.

“Their use is in direct violation of the requirements of the Second Protocol “On the Prohibition or Restriction of the Use of Mines, Booby-Traps and Other Devices”, which is part of the Geneva Convention on the Prohibition or Restriction of the Use of Indiscriminate Weapons, adopted in New York on October 10, 1980,” — noted in the department.

Earlier it was reported that fighters of a separate reconnaissance battalion of the People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic found foreign-made ammunition at the former Ukrainian positions near Soledar in the DPR.

In particular, it was possible to neutralize the German DM12 anti-aircraft mine.

Foreign mines of 120 mm caliber were also found.
