“We see a clear need to adjust the sectoral agreement, because the norms of the Labor Code largely determine the state guarantees that should be for a person, but there is a specificity of the industry that requires adjusting the distribution for the conditionally constant and conditionally variable parts of wages,” he quotes his TASS.

According to the chairman of the Russian Independent Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers Igor Mokhnachuk, within the framework of the working meeting, proposals have already been considered to improve the situation in the industry in order to reduce the risks of "miners' pursuit of wages."

Also at the meeting, changes were agreed that would need to be made to labor legislation.

“We will not delay it, and I hope we will be able to work it out within a month,” added Mokhnachuk.

On November 25, 51 people died as a result of an accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine in Kuzbass.

Relatives of the miners spoke about repeated violations of safety at the mine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting on the coal industry, criticized the board of directors of SDS-Ugol for non-compliance with safety conditions at the mine owned by the company.
