Russia called on the head of the UN General Assembly to convene a briefing on the continuity of the work of the organization

This was stated by Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Chumakov during a meeting of the UN General Assembly.

“We ask you, dear Mr. Chairman, to convene a briefing on the continuity of work as soon as possible,” TASS quoted him as saying.

The diplomat noted the need for a detailed discussion, "according to what logic the UN Secretariat intends to continue to ensure the work of delegations."

Earlier, the head of the UN General Assembly expressed concern about new strains of coronavirus.
