Munich (AP) - Bayern Munich's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has once again clearly rejected a possible change from coach Hansi Flick to the post of national coach after this season.
“You will have to plan without Hansi,” said the 65-year-old on the Internet portal “The Athletic” in the direction of the German Football Association.
"My experience tells me that coaches who work well at Bayern have to be looked after and retained over the long term."
Flick is traded as a possible successor to Joachim Löw, who will stop as head coach of the German national team after the EM.
Flick's contract with the German record champions runs until June 30, 2023.
Rummenigge also ruled out a job at the German Football Association for himself.
Rather, he clearly criticized the DFB.
Working for an association that "takes months to make any decisions" is not for him.
"Everyone is concerned about the things that happen (at the DFB)," said Rummenigge, referring to the difficult relationship between President Fritz Keller and General Secretary Friedrich Curtius.

"You are so busy politicizing that not enough is being done to address some major structural problems, such as problems in youth development and coaching," said the Bayern boss.
"What is missing is a professional structure, with important figures from the Bundesliga on board."
He would advise the DFB to "close the ranks and get back on track as quickly as possible."
