Ruler of Umm Al Quwain: A turning point in the history of the UAE
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, confirmed that the decision to unify the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates was a turning point in the history of the Emirates, and a qualitative leap founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace. His Highness pointed out that the unification of the UAE Armed Forces on the 6th of May 1976 is a national memory in the hearts of the people of the Emirates and a source of pride for the Emirates.
His Highness said: "We must all renew our loyalty to the wise leadership of the state, asking the Almighty to preserve our state and perpetuate our armed forces as an asset for the homeland, as they are the protective shield and the fortified fence to deter anyone who wants evil for our state."
His Highness praised our sons in the armed forces, stressing that they “have demonstrated unprecedented capabilities in confrontation, sacrifices, and steadfastness on the firm principles that the founding leaders were keen on believing in the state of unity and a common destiny and working to strengthen its pillars to continue the process of construction, development and renaissance to prove to the whole world that construction, giving and tolerance need strength.” It protects and preserves it.”
