Former international winger Marc Andreu (7 caps), who won the Grand Slam 2010 with the XV of France, announced his retirement from player Friday at 34 years old.
"It is with some emotion that I announce the end of my professional career," wrote Marc Andreu, at the end of the contract with La Rochelle, on Instagram.
In addition to the Grand Slam 2010 - the last Six Nations Tournament conquered by the Blues -, the three quarter wing formed in Toulon won twice the Top 14 with Castres (2013) and then Racing 92 (2016), each time under the orders of the Labit-Travers duo.
"I wanted to thank the Rugby Club Toulonnais which allowed me to become a professional. Thank as we say in the jargon my 2 fathers + Laurent Travers and Laurent Labit + who made me be the player I was and the man that I am now ", pays homage to Marc Andreu by ensuring" keep an eye on rugby ".
The Top 14 heading, because of the pandemic, towards the end of the season, which must ratify in the coming days the steering committee of the National Rugby League (LNR), Marc Andreu will probably not be able to play a farewell match .
