The alarm came in at 12.30 am if a traffic accident between Tågarp N to Bjärshög on road 110 is the traffic stop in both directions.
"What I know right now is that it is a serious accident," says Evelina Olsson, the police spokesperson.
The animal ambulance is on its way to the scene and a person stuck in a car is being released by the emergency services.
Road users are encouraged to choose another route if possible due to fast growing queues. The road is expected to open up to traffic again in the afternoon. However, this can be changed depending on the extent of the rescue and recovery work.
