Reserve all offered quantities from an electric armored vehicle within minutes
The automaker GMC, a subsidiary of the American group, General Motors, has announced that it has reserved all the quantity that was put up for pre-booking of its new electric Hummer Edition One within a few minutes of opening the door for reservation.
"We have thousands of people on the waiting list for the new car," said Global Buick and GMC vice president, Duncan Aldred, refusing to reveal the real number of cars that were booked before the waiting list began.
The new car will sell for 112,595 dollars (about 413.2 thousand dirhams), and it is armored and equipped with a set of cameras as well as a battery that allows it to travel 350 miles before needing to recharge.
The car is also powered by three electric motors with a capacity of 1000 hp.
Production of the "Edition One" car is scheduled to start at the end of 2021, with three categories to be offered, including the cheapest price, during the period from fall 2022 to spring 2024. GMC intends to open the door for reserving the lowest-priced categories as well.
