(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) Reporter's Note: Personal Experience of South Korea's Entry Quarantine

China News Agency reporter Liu Xu

Due to work needs, China News Agency reporters left for South Korea from Beijing on the 2nd of this month.

According to the Korean epidemic prevention policy, all foreigners entering South Korea are subject to a 14-day centralized quarantine except those who are exempt from quarantine who meet the policy requirements. From this, the reporter personally experienced the quarantine process for entering South Korea during the epidemic.

At 6 o'clock in the morning on the 2nd, the reporter came to Beijing Capital International Airport to go through the check-in and consignment procedures. The airline staff carefully checked the nucleic acid test report of each passenger.

According to South Korea’s entry policy, inbound passengers need to hold a nucleic acid test report in English or Korean within 72 hours. If the report is in Chinese, a translation and a notarized certificate are required.

The reporter noticed that Beijing Capital Airport's domestic flight security check entrance has a large flow of people. Just after 7 a.m., dozens of people enter the security check passage on average every minute. On the other hand, there are only a few people in the neighboring international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan departure passages.

The reporter asked the staff of Air China and learned that only for the company’s route from Beijing to South Korea, there was at least one flight a day before the outbreak, but now there is only one direct flight per week. Know when to recover.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the reporter's flight started boarding.

The flight attendant told reporters that the number of passengers on this flight was “not too many”.

The reporter checked on the mobile phone software that this passenger plane can take 167 people, and the occupancy rate is about 70%.

An international student sitting in the same row with the reporter told the reporter that she was studying fashion design at Seoul National University and was about to be a senior at the beginning of school.

She stayed in Seoul for the New Year due to the outbreak of the epidemic the year before last year. At the end of December last year, she took advantage of the school holiday to return to China for the Spring Festival.

Currently, her courses are conducted online. This time she decided to return to South Korea because she had to return to school to take the exam.

"The epidemic situation in South Korea is still a bit serious. There are about 500 new cases every day. After returning to South Korea, I will try to minimize going out and take good precautions."

After about 90 minutes of flight, the plane landed at Seoul Incheon Airport.

After getting off the plane, all immigrants must undergo a health check. The nucleic acid test report before leaving the country and the health declaration form filled out on the plane are handed over to the staff, and the temperature is checked. After the test is passed, the "Self-quarantine Personnel Safety" must be downloaded. Protect application software".

After completing the health check, the immigration personnel must confirm the quarantine information.

Foreigners entering South Korea can generally choose to quarantine in a temporary living facility, namely a hotel, for 14 days, or choose to quarantine at home.

The reporter chose centralized isolation. A staff member confirmed to the reporter the detailed address of the quarantined hotel and contact information in Korea, and told reporters that within 14 days of quarantine, the quarantine personnel should take their body temperature twice a day and declare on the software by themselves, such as If you have abnormal symptoms, you can dial the number of the official in charge of the health center in your jurisdiction with one touch.

After passing the Korean customs inspection, the reporter finally entered South Korea about two hours after the flight landed.

At the exit, a staff member confirmed the area where the reporter's isolated hotel was located, and put a red round sticker representing the "Seoul area" on the reporter's clothes.

According to the information on the signs, people going to the Seoul area should take a car to the No. 7 channel to leave. If they cannot leave by a private car, they need to take a special anti-epidemic taxi. The fixed fare for ordinary models is 80,000 won (approximately RMB 465). yuan).

After about an hour’s drive, the reporter came to the segregated hotel near Dongdaemun, Seoul, and filled out the information confirmation form at the front desk of the hotel to check in. The quarantine fee is 1.4 million won (approximately RMB 8,140) and the quarantine needs to pay by themselves .

The hotel staff told reporters that during the quarantine period, except for the two necessary nucleic acid tests, the quarantined personnel are not allowed to go out. The staff will deliver three meals a day to the insulation bag outside the door, and the staff will clean up every three days. For household garbage, the quarantine personnel need to put the garbage into the designated garbage bin and seal the lid, otherwise the staff will refuse to clean it.

According to regulations, quarantined persons must go to the health center of the jurisdiction for a nucleic acid test within 24 hours of entry.

On the morning of the 3rd, the reporter took an anti-epidemic taxi to the Jongno Health Center in Seoul. After filling in the basic information form and entering it for verification by the staff, the medical staff at the quarantine window tested the reporter and took a sample of the throat swab and the nasal swab. .

At this point, the reporter has completed the necessary anti-epidemic procedures for entering South Korea. Next, on April 15, the day before the end of the quarantine, he will go to the Jongno Health Center for nucleic acid testing again. If the test result is negative, the quarantine can be successfully ended.

It is hoped that with the global vaccination of the new crown pneumonia vaccine, the world can return to normal conditions as soon as possible, and people from all countries can move freely as usual.
