Chinanews.com, Beijing, April 28 (Xia Bin) As the resumption of production and production is fully promoted, consumption is accelerating. On the 28th, the Lexin Research Institute released the "Discovering a New Momentum for Recovery: A Report on the Trend of Young Consumers in the Post-epidemic Era" (hereinafter "Report"). The report surveyed the “four-dimensional indicators” of 3327 young people across the country in terms of income expectations, willingness to spend, willingness to install instalments, and propensity to upgrade consumption. The results showed that 62% expected that income would not decrease; 65% would increase spending 19 percentage points); 65.6% of the people are more willing to spend in installments; another 30% are willing to expand the consumption of quality services.

According to the report, various indications indicate that young people have confidence in the future and that the trend of consumption recovery is obvious.

The report analyzes that young people are at the beginning of their careers and their salary starting point is not high. It is not a key group of companies for salary reduction. Reemployment is also easier, so income is relatively less affected by the epidemic and is more optimistic about future income expectations.

On the expenditure side, with the improvement of the epidemic prevention and control situation, and the government and merchants launching many consumer stimulus measures, it has greatly boosted the willingness of young people to spend. The survey found that people planning to increase consumer spending by a small margin accounted for 43.2%, and those planning to increase consumer spending by a large margin accounted for 21.7%. The two people accounted for a total of 65%, an increase of 19 percentage points from March.

Instalments are used as a "barometer" to reflect consumer confidence. The survey results show that 65.6% of young people are more inclined to consume in installments. The reason is that they do n’t have to pay for one-time expenses, they do n’t have to reduce their due consumption, and they can still have a balance to save, which allows them to get a sufficient sense of security when they consume.

The survey also found that more than one-third of young people are paying more attention to key categories of consumption upgrades. 5G mobile phones, trendy shoes and clothing, sports health care and dining out are currently the most popular types of spending for young people. 5G mobile phone buyers are the most willing, accounting for 33%.

The report specifically pointed out that after experiencing the epidemic, young people's consumption behavior became more stable. 40.2% of people tend to "buy less and buy better", and 39.6% think "buy decisions are more cautious than before". From the staged behavior, in the post-epidemic period, 84% of the young people will control the monthly payment within 30% of the monthly income; 43% will control it within 10%; the repayment status has not deteriorated due to the epidemic The proportion of repayment on time exceeds 98%.

At present, the three ways young people care most about stimulating consumption are: increasing income, holding promotions, and issuing consumption vouchers.

The issuance of consumer vouchers by the government has a significant effect on revitalizing the consumer market. 27.3% of the respondents indicated that they would consider increasing consumption after receiving the coupons, but 71.2% of them "did not receive the coupons" and only 12.2% had used the coupons. In addition, 65.9% suggested that coupons can be used for online shopping, and 53.4% hoped for online takeout. The promotion and popularization of consumer coupons among young people still has potential to be tapped. (Finish)
