The "Report" shows that the "Golden Triangle" area is still the main source of drugs in China, the smuggling of cocaine to China from South America is still relatively high, and the import of cannabis from North America to China has increased significantly.

  The "Report" disclosed that in 2021, China seized 17.3 tons of mainstream drugs with a large number of abusers, including heroin, methamphetamine, and ketamine, of which 15.3 tons were sourced overseas and 2 tons were hoarded or manufactured in China, down 21.7% and 48.2% year-on-year respectively. , accounting for 88.6% and 11.4% of the total seized.

  Through the continuous promotion of the special campaign of "de-icing and anti-drug", China has innovated and improved the entire chain of combat mode, and domestic drug production activities continued to shrink.

In 2021, 123 drug dens will be destroyed and 1.2 tons of drugs will be collected, down 26.4% and 89% year-on-year respectively.

Large-scale drug production activities were curbed, with 70 cases of drugs under kilograms seized, accounting for 64.2%, and 6 cases over 10kg, accounting for 2.2%, and no drug production cases over 50kg occurred.

A few provinces have sporadic drug production activities, showing the characteristics of hidden site selection, small scale, segmented processing, and multi-point synthesis.

  The total amount of domestic drugs has continued to decline, but overseas drugs are still the main source of drugs in China.

The "Report" shows that the "Golden Triangle" area is still the most important source of poison in China.

In the whole year, 1.81 tons of heroin were seized, a year-on-year decrease of 52.1%, of which 1.78 tons came from the "Golden Triangle" area and 22 kilograms from the "Golden Crescent" area, accounting for 98.8% and 1.2% of the total seized; 15 tons of methamphetamine were seized, a year-on-year decrease of 29.3% %, of which 13.4 tons came from the "Golden Triangle" area, accounting for 89.3% of the total seized.

  The "Report" also disclosed that there are still more cocaine smuggling transfers to China in South America.

In the whole year, 690 kilograms of cocaine was seized, an increase of 18.6% year-on-year, mainly from South America, mostly hidden in ships and containers and transiting through China, and most of them were large cases.

Imports of cannabis from North America to China have increased substantially.

In the whole year, 308.9 kilograms of overseas cannabis were seized, an increase of 4.5 times year-on-year, mainly from North America, mostly through international parcels with small, frequent and scattered entry, involving 23 provinces in China.
