The "rent support benefit" is a system that provides a maximum of 6 million yen to small and medium-sized enterprises and a maximum of 3 million yen to sole proprietors, including freelancers, for businesses whose sales have fallen sharply.
However, it took a long time to examine because there were many documents submitted by the business operator and there were some inadequacies. According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as of September 9, we were able to pay for the number of 450,000 applications. There are only 110,000 cases.
For this reason, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has decided to increase the number of people involved in the examination from about 5,000 so far to 6,000 next month.
In addition, the number of call centers that respond to inquiries from business operators will be increased from 1,000 to 1,200.
The additional cost is expected to be about 17 billion yen, which is within the planned range.
