Accused of treason by Les Républicains for having reached an agreement with La République en Marche, Renaud Muselier is trying to calm the situation.

Renaud Muselier and Jean Castex obviously did not understand each other well.

Sunday, May 2, the Prime Minister announces a "

union

" with the outgoing president of the Paca region.

This created an uproar among Les Républicains.

Twenty-four hours later, Renaud Muselier is forced to rectify the situation.

The next day he organized a press conference at short notice: "

There is no device agreement, no one can doubt my loyalty to my political family

 ," promises Renaud Muselier.

Nothing to do with an alliance for the presidential election of 2022.

And to distance himself from Emmanuel Macron's camp, Renaud Muselier ensures that no minister will have a place on his list.

Sophie Cluzel, the head of the En Marche list in PACA, will therefore have to choose: to leave her post of Secretary of State for disabled people or to give up a post at the Regional Council.

The rest of Renaud Muselier's demining operation promises to be complicated.

He has an appointment this Tuesday, May 4 at the headquarters of the Republicans in Paris for a serious explanation of the text.

Turmoil also within Macronie

This agreement

also created a stir within the presidential party.

All this makes the business of the far-right

": disappointed, this local elected representative of the presidential party does not understand this rapprochement between The Republic on the march and the right before the first round.

She fears a flight from right-wing voters to far-right candidate Thierry Mariani who, she says, does not look like a scarecrow in the region because he was previously a member of the Republicans.

No one wants to hear about party agreements anymore, that creates mistrust,

" sighs another elected representative from the region.

With this type of agreement, we do not answer the question of why people vote for the National Rally

 ," adds another member.

A lose-lose alliance is the fear of many walkers.

The argument of the tenors of the majority on the pursuit of overcoming the divisions carried by Emmanuel Macron was not really convincing.

Despite everything, some defend a “

necessary agreement

” vis-à-vis the National Rally.

They are delighted to see that it makes it possible to "

fracture

" the right a little more a year before the presidential election.

To listen: The LR / LREM alliance in Paca will give rise to "a lot of risks and tensions at the national level"
