The agreement between La République en Marche and Les Républicains within the framework of the regional elections in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur caused a shock on the right.

Within the majority, several rather marked voices on the left also voice their discontent and fear a backlash from voters.

The announcement of the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, made this weekend in the

, of the withdrawal from the list The Republic on the march in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur during the regional elections for the benefit of the outgoing president of the region Les Républicains (LR), Renaud Muselier, is definitely struggling to pass.

"Disappointed and a little worried"

Certainly, within the majority, all had in mind to possibly join Renaud Muselier in the second round. But a deal from the first round is cringe. Its program should also reflect "leftist values", confided to Europe 1 Emmanuelle Wargon, the Minister of Housing. This is part of Territoires de Progres, a group that brings together the left wing of Macronia around ministers Jean-Yves Le Drian and Olivier Dussopt.

"We are both disappointed and a little worried. There will be losses on the left on the side of the presidential majority and there will be losses on the right on the side of Renaud Muselier", regrets the co-founder of Territoires de PROGRESS, Gilles Savary .

The position of En Commun, another group to the left of the macronie, is firmer.

Its twenty or so elected officials said "strongly condemn the PACA agreement".

"In 2017, the overtaking went from a wide left center to a wide right center. We found ourselves there", she explains on Europe 1. "There, the barycenter slides to the right. We do not find our little ones, neither do our constituents. "

In the press this Tuesday morning, the Minister of Ecological Transition, Barbara Pompili, pleads for a balanced strategy. "Systematic alliances with the right would not be understood by our voters," she warns. At a time when the macronie is trying to destabilize the right, the left wing of the majority has not said its last word.
