The Ismailia Criminal Court in Egypt decided today to refer the papers of the accused of slaughtering a citizen on a street in Ismailia, to the Grand Mufti.

Ismailia governorate witnessed a heinous crime last November, when the accused, Abdel Rahman Dabour, slaughtered a citizen and separated his head from his body, in one of the main streets in Ismailia, and bragged about it in front of the citizens, amid their astonishment.

The Public Prosecutor, Counselor Hamada Al-Sawy, had ordered the referral of the accused of killing the citizen, and the attempted murder of two others, to the competent criminal court in an urgent criminal trial, to punish him for what was attributed to him from the foregoing, as well as his use of narcotics, and his possession of knives without legal justification in one of the gathering places. with intent to disturb public order.

After the incident, the investigation authorities decided to imprison the accused for 15 days pending investigations, and assign the forensic doctor to Ismailia General Hospital to examine the dead man’s body, and to ensure the genetic fingerprint and that the separated head of the same body before issuing a decision to hand over his body to his relatives and authorize his burial.
