Real estate companies that own many office buildings and commercial facilities are beginning to switch to renewable energy such as solar power to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Mitsui Fudosan has a policy of switching from electricity used in common areas such as lobbies and aisles to renewable energy by 2030 for all 120 facilities such as office buildings and commercial facilities owned in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

This initiative is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 120,000 tons per year, or approximately 69,000 ordinary households.

Mitsubishi Estate plans to completely switch to renewable energy from approximately 30 buildings owned in the Marunouchi area of Tokyo by next year.

It is said that this will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 200,000 tons per year.

In addition, "Mori Building" is promoting efforts to enable tenant companies to use renewable energy electricity at "Roppongi Hills" etc., and even among real estate companies that own many office buildings and commercial facilities, it is out of the question. The move towards carbon is widespread.
