British anti-terror police announced on Saturday (June 27th) the murder and attempted murder charges of the suspect arrested after the knife attack that killed three people in Reading, west London, on June 20.

This 25-year-old Libyan refugee, described by his family as suffering from mental problems following the war in Libya, was arrested a few minutes after he began attacking groups gathered in a park in this city of 200,000 inhabitants.

Khairi Saadallah is scheduled to be brought before a London court on June 29.

The Reading attack left three people dead, including an American, and three injured, all of whom have since been released from hospital. The police consider the attack to be "terrorist in nature", but considers that the suspect acted alone and is not looking for anyone else.
