Rathenow (dpa / bb) - The police have evacuated the town hall in Rathenow (Havelland district) because of a suspected bomb threat.

Two explosives detection dogs are in use, said a police spokesman on Wednesday morning.

"The seriousness is rather low."

Nevertheless, a residual risk should be excluded.

For the third time, a note had appeared warning of a bomb.

That is why the town hall was first cleared, said the police spokesman.

The "Märkische Allgemeine" had previously reported on it.

The administrative headquarters have been closed to visitors since December due to the Corona crisis.
