"A 110-kilovolt high-voltage line of the state electrical system broke down, which fell on the contact line of the railway and damaged it, as a result of which four trains are currently stopped," the press service of the Georgian Railway JSC (GZD) quoted Interfax as saying.

According to GZD, these are passenger trains Tbilisi - Batumi, Batumi - Tbilisi, Tbilisi - Poti and Zugdidi - Tbilisi.

Restoration work is underway.
