　　In his speech, Qin Gang reviewed Mr. Wu Jianxiong's long journey from China to the United States to study physics and dedicate his life to science, and highly appreciated her scientific spirit of persistent pursuit of truth.

She rose to the challenge, not only on books, but on facts, rigorous experiments, accurate verification, and her noble character of independent thinking inspired many female scientists in later generations to devote themselves to the endless exploration of unknown frontiers.

With practical actions, she proves a saying that the Chinese often say: practice is the only criterion for testing truth.
