Putin hopes Biden will be less emotional than Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin hoped yesterday that his US counterpart, Joe Biden, would be less irritable and hasty in his steps than his predecessor, Donald Trump, days before his first summit with the current US president.

In an interview with NBC News, Putin described his American counterpart Biden as a "walking person" who has spent his life in politics, also saying that Trump is a "talented person" and "remarkable."

"A person may or may not like him, but he did not belong to the American institutional system," he added.
