Earlier, the Federation Council approved a bill on fines for identifying the USSR and Nazi Germany.

As reported, the bill introduces fines for citizens up to 5 thousand rubles or arrest up to 15 days and fines up to 100 thousand rubles for legal entities for publicly identifying the role of the USSR and Nazi Germany in World War II, as well as for denying the decisive role of the Soviet people in defeating Nazi Germany.

Member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Adalbi Shkhagoshev, in an interview with RT, called the law on fines for identifying the USSR and Nazi Germany a defense of history.
