The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office, which is investigating the suspicion of preferential treatment for the development of Daejang-dong, is investigating Kwak Sang-do, a former lawmaker who is suspected of his son's 5 billion severance pay, as a suspect at 10:00 am today (27th).

Former lawmaker Kwak is accused of having his son get a job at Hwacheon Daeyou in exchange for helping Hwacheon Daeyu form a consortium with Hana Bank, and then receiving 5 billion won in the name of his son's severance pay.

Prosecutors also suspect that when the Hana Bank consortium was on the verge of collapse, former lawmaker Kwak exerted influence on Hana Financial Group at the request of Kim Man-bae.
