American sports have largely shut down after the corona crisis hit properly in the US, but the new announced exceptions now open for the NHL and NBA to be able to get started again, as well as the professional tours of tennis and golf.
The leagues included in the exemption from the entry ban to the United States are the MLB baseball league, the NHL, the NBA and WNBA basketball leagues, the golf PGA and LPGA tours, as well as the tennis ATP and WTA tours.
In addition to the sports, related and necessary employees in the leagues are also exempted from the entry ban.
The White House has imposed travel bans from travelers from China, Iran and large parts of Europe to try to curb the outbreak of covid-19.
