Prime Minister Kishida met with Ferdinand Marcos, who won the presidential election in the Philippines, over the phone and agreed to work together to further strengthen relations between the two countries.

The telephone conversation between Prime Minister Kishida and Mr. Marcos was held for about 15 minutes on the morning of the 20th.



In this, Prime Minister Kishida congratulated Mr. Marcos on the economic and security fields such as infrastructure development through the framework of economic cooperation and ministerial discussions on foreign affairs and defense, so-called "2 plus 2". I conveyed my thoughts on cooperation.
