January 15: will there be a popular primary on the left?

First, on the left of the political spectrum, the French will know on January 15 if there will be a popular primary, and if the former Minister of Justice, Christiane Taubira, will indeed embark on the race for the 'Elysium.

March 11: official publication of the names of the candidates

On the side of outgoing President Emmanuel Macron, he will be able to prolong the suspense on his intentions until March 4, the deadline for submitting applications.

Presidential contenders who have the required 500 sponsorships will be officially declared presidential candidates and their names will be released on March 11.

March 2 and 4: deadlines for registration on the electoral rolls
