Chemnitz (dpa / sn) - The police and the municipalities in Saxony have announced increased corona controls in the next few days.
The city of Chemnitz announced on Wednesday that a focus will be on those areas where it is mandatory to wear a mouth and nose cover.
If people did not show understanding, fines would be payable.
The Leipzig police stated that violations of the Corona Protection Ordinance would now be consistently punished. So far, communication has often been the focus. The Zwickau police department also stated that they wanted to put their control measures "intensely" on. In the previous weeks 151 warnings and 15 dismissals were issued. There were also 53 fine proceedings. In view of these violations of the Corona rules, further measures are necessary.
