Today (22nd) at around 3 pm, at Bears Town Ski Resort in Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, there was an accident where the lift, which was supposed to go up to the top, suddenly reversed.
As the lift moved rapidly backwards, passengers screamed and trembled in panic, causing great confusion near the lift disembarkation point as passengers on board jumped off the starting point just before colliding with another lift.
Some passengers who could not jump were caught between the lift and the lift at the departure point and were injured and taken to hospital.
The fire department estimates that there will be around 100 people to be rescued, and is setting up an emergency clinic at the site, while dispatching rescue teams and fire-fighting helicopters to rescue them.
