The playwright Alfonso Sastre has died at the age of 95 at his home in Fuenterabía, in Guipuzcoa, whose career was recognized in 1986 with the National Theater Award.
Sastre, born in Madrid in 1926, was one of the main members of the so-called Generation of 50.
The General Society of Authors (SGAE) has lamented on its Twitter account the death of the playwright, "a theater revolutionary" who has highlighted "his unwavering political commitment was a constant in his career."
