Peruvian authorities: New crown vaccination will boost Peru's economic growth by more than 10%

Peru’s Minister of Economy and Finance Valdo Mendoza said that Peru’s new crown vaccination work has made progress, which will enable Peru’s economy to expand by more than 10% in 2021.

On July 23, local time, in Arequipa, Peru's second largest city, the families of patients with new coronary pneumonia lined up to charge medical oxygen cylinders.

　　Mendoza pointed out that of this total, about 4.34 billion soles were allocated for health emergencies, and 2.98 billion soles were allocated for treatment.

　　Mendoza explained that these funds are used to purchase the new crown vaccine, pay the salaries of health workers, expand the scale of ICU beds and ordinary beds, and other infrastructure and equipment for the prevention and treatment of the new crown virus.

Only for the purchase and vaccination of the new crown vaccine, the Ministry of Economy and Finance allocated an additional 1.651 billion Sol.

　　Mendoza said that Peru's new crown vaccination work has made progress, which will enable the Peruvian economy to expand by more than 10% this year and reduce the negative impact of the third wave of epidemics that may occur.

He emphasized that the new crown vaccine is a very important factor in the country's economic recovery.
