"It was a single accident, but we do not know why it occurred," says Erik Hiding, the police officer on duty.
It was shortly after 12 o'clock on Thursday that the emergency services, ambulance and police were alerted to a traffic accident east of Skattungbyn. The driver had run into a tree and died as a result of the injuries. At 15, the Police announced that relatives had been notified.
The road was closed during the rescue work but should have started being released at 13.15 again.
- What we are doing now is to seize the car in order to be able to get an answer as to why the accident happened, says Erik Hiding.
