A 40-year-old worker died 'buried'
due to land subsidence during excavation work on a road.

The accident occurred around 4 pm in via Giacomo Leopardi.
The Fire Brigade, Areu and the Carabinieri intervened on the spot.
The hole, created by the subsidence, was shallow but there was nothing for the worker to do.
His body was found by rescuers under the ground.
