Socialist Lamia El Aaraje, supported by Anne Hidalgo, turns in the lead in Paris, like Minister Brigitte Bourguignon (LREM) in Pas-De-Calais, during partial legislative elections marked this Sunday by a very strong abstention.

In Paris, in the 20th arrondissement, turnout was limited to 15.6%, or about one in six voters.

Ms. El Aaraje, who tops the first round with 25.66%, will defend the last socialist headquarters of the capital next Sunday against Danielle Simonnet (La France insoumise, LFI), who obtains 20.78%, according to the figures communicated by parties.

This second round will be a test for the Socialists before the regional meetings at the end of June where Audrey Pulvar, also supported by Ms. Hidalgo, is presented against the outgoing Valérie Pécresse (right) and the candidatures on the left of Clémentine Autain (LFI) and Julien Bayou (EELV).

In the 6th district of Pas-de-Calais, where the participation reached 24.26%, the LREM minister Brigitte Bourguignon comes far ahead of the first round with 34.95% of the vote, ahead of the RN candidate Marie-Christine Bourgeois with 24.02%, followed by Faustine Maliar (LR) with 19.2% and Bastien Marguerite-Garin 12.91% (PS).

In the second round next Sunday, Ms. Bourguignon will face Ms. Bourgeois, the others not having reached 12.5% ​​of registrants.

Participation was also low (18.07%) in the third district of Indre-et-Loire, which includes Loches and the south of the agglomeration of Touraine.

The mayor of Beaulieu-lès-Loches, Sophie Métadier, invested by the UDI and LR and supported by LREM, clearly leads the first round with 45.02% of the vote, followed by the socialist Murielle Riolet (20.06% ), deputy mayor of Chambray-lès-Tours.

Outgoing MP Sophie Auconie (UDI), who resigned for health reasons, had delighted the constituency from former socialist minister Marisol Touraine in 2017.

In the 1st district of Oise, the nephew of Olivier Dassault, who died accidentally in March, Victor Habert-Dassault (LR) came out largely in the lead with 58.44% of the vote - or 15% of those registered.

He will face in the second round the candidate RN Claire Marais-Beuil (15.27% of the vote) who preceded Roxane Lundy for Génération.s-PS-EELV-PCF-PRG (12.31%), municipal councilor of opposition to Beauvais.

The participation rate was 26.41%, according to the results published by the prefecture of Oise at 2:00 am Monday.
