Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will install and operate incense burners in Seoul Plaza from Saturday 11th to Monday 13th for citizens to commemorate Mayor Park Won-soon.
Opening hours are from 8 am to 10 pm, and incense began at 11 am on Saturday, the 11th.
The city of Seoul said that the incense burner was prepared in a way that reflects the opinions of the deceased and the bereaved.
The altar size of the incense burner is 9m wide and 3m long, and is decorated with 9,500 flowers.
The incense burner must wear a mask and follow the staff's instructions to allow sufficient distance from other incense burners and apply a hand sanitizer after heating.
More than 140,000 people expressed their condolences by clicking on the'online incense burner' (http://www.seoul.go.kr/seoul/pakCont/main.do) that Seoul City opened on its website.
