Berlin / Potsdam (dpa / bb) - In Berlin and Brandenburg, the sun only rarely shines between the thick cloud cover on weekends.

Many clouds, regional rain and temperatures between 13 and 17 degrees initially made for a gray Friday, said the German Weather Service (DWD) in the morning.

Only in the southwest of Brandenburg does the rain decrease in the course of the morning.

Between the Havelland and the Elbe-Elster lowlands, the sky then loosens over the course of Friday afternoon.

According to the DWD meteorologists, the weekend starts brightly.

Between the cumulus clouds in the sky over Brandenburg and Berlin, the sun shines again and again.

In the course of the day, however, showers appear in some places, which can turn into thunderstorms from noon and only subside towards evening.

The daytime temperatures are up to 19 degrees.

On Sunday there are still thick clouds in the sky and showers and thunderstorms at temperatures up to 18 degrees.
