The government has officially decided to lift the evacuation order on the 30th for the difficult-to-return area in Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture, which is basically off limits after the nuclear accident.
This is the second time that residents will be able to return to a difficult-to-return area.
On the morning of the 28th, the government carried out a nuclear disaster response headquarters in a rotating manner.
Then, on the 30th, a part of the evacuation order was issued for the difficult-to-return area in Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture, where the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station is located and an evacuation order was issued after the nuclear accident. Officially decided to cancel.
In Okuma Town, about 60% of the town is currently a difficult-to-return area, and about 20% of this area is designated by the government as a "specified reconstruction / regeneration base area" where residents can live, and decontamination is performed. Because I went there, the evacuation order will be lifted this time.
This is the second time that residents will be able to return to the difficult-to-return area, following Katsurao Village in Fukushima Prefecture.
