Something to take the leap.

The Occitanie region is voting this Thursday for the launch, “from July”, of new aid for the purchase of a new electric car.

It will be accessible to non-taxable households (i.e. half of the population), with an amount that can go “up to 5,000 euros” and can be combined with state aid that can go up to 9,500 euros, in particular in territories subject to a Low Emission Zone (ZFE) such as Toulouse, and Montpellier now.

The device already existed in Occitania since 2019, up to 2,000 euros, but it only concerned used electric vehicles.

Nearly 4,000 individuals have already benefited from it for an average purchase cost of a vehicle of 10,500 euros.

The boost also concerns craftsmen.

With a specific bonus of 3,000 euros.

“We hope that the arrival of the ZFEs will not be penalizing for their turnover”, explains Carole Delga (PS), the president of the region.
