An increased interest in education is also noticeable in the rest of the country.

At the same time, the university is switching to more normal conditions after a year when the pandemic required that the education take place at a distance.

Last year, 16,000 students were admitted to Dalarna University and this year it looks like there will be 13,000. Vice-principal Sigrid Saveljeff explains the decline by being able to educate more students with distance education.

Want to return to normal

Now that the worst pandemic is over and you have to return to more teaching on site, then the number of students you have the opportunity to teach also decreases.

Sigrid Saveljeff states that Dalarna University has, after all, expanded its nursing places this autumn.

- We do everything we can to assist in the continued supply of skills, she says.
