The Dallas Mavericks and national player Maximilian Kleber failed in the North American basketball professional league NBA shortly before the big goal.
By beating the Golden State Warriors 110-120 in game five, the Texans lost the best-of-seven series 4-1 and were eliminated in the playoff semifinals.
Dallas has been waiting since winning the title in 2011 to make it to the NBA Finals again.

Kleber had seven points, one assist and eight rebounds in the decisive game.
The best thrower at Dallas was star player Luka Doncic with 28 points.
After the recent successes in 2015, 2017 and 2018, Golden State is again after the title, in the finals Stephen Curry and Co. meet the Boston Celtics with national player Daniel Theis or the Miami Heat.
"It's a blessing for us to get back to where we belong," said Curry, who was named the Western Conference Playoffs MVP.
For the sixth time in the past eight years, the Warriors, in which Klay Thompson dominated with 32 points, are in the finals.
No NBA team has managed to do this since the Chicago Bulls with superstar Michael Jordan, who won all six of their finals between 1991 and 1998.
"To be in the Finals six times in eight years just takes a tremendous amount of skill, determination and work, and I couldn't be prouder of my boys," said Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
Golden State has missed the playoffs for the past two seasons.
